• Attempt the paper in exam-like conditions — set a timer for 2 hours before starting

• Revise General Awareness current affairs daily, as this section changes the most from shift to shift

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
• Each section has its own separate time limit; time cannot be shifted between sections

Important Instructions For Candidates

• Do not trust or search for “leaked” real exam questions circulating on social media — SSC monitors this strictly, and using such content can lead to disqualification or debarment
• Rely only on verified practice PDFs and official SSC communication
• Reach your exam centre well before the reporting time for your shift

What Happens After The Exam

• SSC will release the provisional answer key once all shifts and all days of the exam are completed
• Candidates will get a window to raise objections against the provisional answer key
• Final answer key and CBT result will be prepared based on shift-wise normalization
• Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for the Shorthand Skill Test (dictation and transcription round)
